Representative Magaziner is committed to ending the epidemic of gun violence that is devastating communities all across the country. 

In Congress, Rep. Magaziner is fighting for common sense gun safety legislation to:

• Reinstate the ban on assault weapons used in many mass shootings 
• Establish universal background checks for every firearm sale
• Require safe storage of firearms to prevent children or others who cannot lawfully obtain a firearm from causing harm to themselves or others
• Ban the purchase and sale of high-capacity magazines and silencers
• Strengthen red flag laws to keep guns out of the hands of those who are a danger to themselves or others
