CRANSTON, RI — As the summer travel season gets underway, the office of U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02), in partnership with the Boston Passport Agency, assisted nearly 130 Rhode Islanders today at the Cranston Public Library with passport applications, renewals, passport photos, and general questions about U.S. Department of State services.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House Homeland Security Committee approved U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner’s Department of Homeland Security Intelligence and Analysis Training Act, legislation that will require standardized entry-level training for new intelligence employees at the Department of Homeland Security on civil rights, civil liberties, privacy protections, intelligence regulations, and information-sharing best practices.

Wood was the reason I chose to major in History as a Brown University student, and my time studying under him helped shape me into the person I am.

HOPE VALLEY, RI – Today, U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) joined leaders from Wood River Health in Hope Valley to announce $750,000 of federal grant funding he secured to help the community health center expand its waiting area and support high-quality, affordable medical, dental, behavioral health, and social services for local Rhode Islanders.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will allow scup, a fish widely caught and sold in Rhode Island, to be marketed as “Golden Sea Bream” – a change expected to improve marketability and help bring higher profits home to Rhode Island fishermen. 

Magaziner introduced a bill last year providing for the name change, and similar language was secured in a government funding package recently signed into law.
