Health Care

Representative Magaziner is committed to ensuring high-quality, affordable health care, including mental health care, for every American.
In Congress, Rep. Magaziner is fighting to lower healthcare costs, and especially to lower the cost of prescription drugs like insulin for all Americans.
Rep. Magaziner’s first bill as a Member of Congress was the Healthcare Worker Retention Act, a bill to address health care staffing shortages by providing $2,000 of retention bonuses over two years to any eligible health care worker.
The Healthcare Worker Retention Act will incentivize hiring and retention in healthcare fields, improve healthcare professionals’ ability to provide high quality care to RI patients, and expand Rhode Islander’s access to safe, affordable, and reliable healthcare.
