Champagne Heights project advocates celebrate key federal grant

South Kingstown’s long-planned remake of the Champagne Heights housing complex got a fresh boost last week when U.S. Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-1) announced an $850,000 federal grant to build a community center that local officials say the neighborhood has lacked for years.
