Congressional stock trading ban gets hearing in House

The next step in the process to get a bill barring members of Congress from trading stocks happened Wednesday, giving supporters hope that it will advance.

Congressman Seth Magaziner, the leading Democrat behind the bill to ban congressional stock trading, said the hearing was “a sign of the growing momentum.”
