Feds award state $81 million for new connection between I-95 and Quonset

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) was awarded $81 million in federal funds to create a direct highway connection between I-195 and Quonset Business Park, the state’s congressional delegation announced Wednesday.

In addition to the new freeway link at Route 4 via Route 403, RIDOT plans to create a new roundabout at Compass Circle and three ramps for truck and freight operators approaching the business park. [...] Read full story.
