Fire Dept. unveils Emergency Operations Center

A $530,437 federal grant, secured by Magaziner in March 2024, and approximately $170,000 in matching funds from the city will be used to relocate the EOC from a 70-year-old facility on Sandy Lane to Potowomut Station 10.

“High quality technology for public safety means faster response times,” said Magaziner. “When Rhode Islanders are in distress, when they need help, they deserve to have a response that is as fast and efficient as possible.”
