Magaziner introduces legislation to reunite Americans who lost their retirement benefits

U.S. Representatives Seth Magaziner (RI-02) and Ron Estes (KS-04), both former state treasurers, introduced the Unclaimed Retirement Rescue Plan, bipartisan legislation to restore Americans’ lost retirement benefits they rightfully earned.

A 2019 report from the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Advisory Council estimated that more than $1 billion in retirement savings are stranded in old, inactive retirement accounts.
