'Today we are cel­eb­rat­ing the future of Cov­entry'

Fed­eral funds total­ing $2.25 mil­lion will sup­port two projects that Cov­entry’s town man­ager this week called “very import­ant for the res­id­ents and busi­ness own­ers” of the town.

The fund­ing, secured by U.S. Rep. Seth Magaziner, com­prises $1.5 mil­lion for flood pre­ven­tion, side­walk improve­ments and other work in the Wood Street area, and another $750,000 to sup­port the cre­ation of a cent­ral­ized muni­cipal waste col­lec­tion facil­ity.
