And yet, Rhode Islanders are resilient, and we support one another in the face of tragedy,” said Rep. Magaziner. “I spoke on the House Floor to mark the 20th anniversary of that tragedy so that we may honor those we lost and inspire changes in fire safety protocols to save lives in the future.”
On February 20th, 2003, the Station Nightclub fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island claimed the lives of 100 people and injured hundreds more. The fire also left hundreds of families to suffer the loss of their loved ones and process the horror of such a tragedy.
