Magaziner Joins Langevin & Picozzi to Announce $920,280 in Funding for Warwick Public Library

Warwick, R.I. – Today, Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) joined Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi, former Representative Jim Langein (RI-02), state elected officials, and community stakeholders to present $920,280 of Community Project Funding to the Warwick Public Library.

The new federal funding will make the Warwick Public Library, an important space for the local community, more accessible for those unable to travel independently to their neighborhood library. Thanks to former Congressman Jim Langevin’s leadership, this critical funding will ensure that the Warwick Public Library will have the necessary resources to make the Apponaug and Norwood branches fully ADA-compliant and eliminate all existing accessibility barriers.

“The Warwick Public Library is an invaluable resource for our entire community. I thank Congressman Langevin for securing this new Community Project Funding, so that this facility can be inclusive, accessible spaces for all Rhode Islanders,” said Rep. Magaziner. “Community libraries are a critical resource for children and families, which is why it is so important that all members of our community are able to access our libraries’ incredible services. I will always fight to bring our fair share of federal investments back to our communities, so that we can continue to make Rhode Island such a terrific place to live, work, and raise a family.”
