“President Trump and Elon Musk continue to illegally withhold funding from health care, education, humanitarian aid, and more. I will not vote for a budget bill until we have assurances that the administration will honor the budget that Congress passes.
I am, however, prepared to return to Washington to vote for a 30-day budget extension to keep the government open while giving both sides time to negotiate.
The American people want a return to bipartisanship and I hope the administration will listen.”
