WASHINGTON, DC -- As part of its ongoing efforts to help people and businesses recover from severe winter storms in December and January that resulted in extensive flood damage across Rhode Island, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has approved $12.9 million in federal flood aid for Rhode Islanders so far, according to the state’s Congressional delegation.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse joined Congressmen Seth Magaziner and Gabe Amo in sending a letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection Acting Commissioner Troy Miller requesting information on Rhode Island’s Global Entry Enrollment Center. Since closing for renovations on July 6, 2020, the center has left Rhode Islanders unable to conveniently schedule their required in-person interviews for Global Entry.

PROVIDENCE, RI –  Today, Rhode Island’s Congressional delegation announced that the Ocean State is getting $1,482,715 in federal funding from AmeriCorps to support key community projects in Providence and Woonsocket.  Specifically, this federal funding will support programs managed by TerraCorps, an environmental nonprofit committed to land protection and stewardship, and the Woonsocket Neighborhood Development Corporation.
