NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI – After years of planning and working together to make the case for funding, U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressmen Seth Magaziner and Gabe Amo along with Governor Dan McKee gathered today with state, local, and federal officials to celebrate a new $81 million federal grant that is being awarded to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) to establish a new connection from I-95 to Quonset Business Park.

Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.) has introduced legislation providing $100 million in federal funding to fund career and technical education programs to train workers for the growing clean energy industry. [...] The Clean Energy Workforce Act would establish two programs: the Clean Energy Curriculum Development Grants and the Renewable Energy Facilities Grants.
