Seth Magaziner (RI-02), Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, issued the below statement following last night’s Senate confirmation of Joe Kent as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC): 

PROVIDENCE, RI – U.S. Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, along with U.S. Representatives Seth Magaziner (RI-02) and Gabe Amo (RI-01), are calling on the Office of Management and Budget to immediately release Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 grants for AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparents and Senior Companions programs in Rhode Island.

WARWICK, RI – Today, U.S. Representative Seth Magaziner (RI-02) released the following statement in response to a fatal plane crash on Block Island.

“My heart goes out to those impacted by today’s plane crash on Block Island, which has tragically claimed at least one life. 

I am in touch with local leaders and am deeply grateful to the first responders who rushed to the scene. My thoughts and prayers remain with those who are recovering in the hospital.”
